Description:

 

Students will learn the skills necessary to utilize the Windows operating system and Windows based software programs. May be taken for one, two or three credits. An additional project will be required to earn three credits

Attendance:

 

Attendance and being punctual is extremely important to your success. Attendance will be taken every class. The learning process is an interactive process that often involves not only the instructor's lecture but also the questions and answers that arise from the people who make-up the class.

Students have the right to observe major, required religious holidays.

Handouts for each lesson will be provided.

Course Objectives:

 

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

§         Use the Windows operating system.

§         Have knowledge of the add-in programs that are included with Windows.

§         Create folders, find, copy, and move and delete files.

 

 

Course Methods and Procedures:

 

 

Participants will be guided through a series of hands-on activities designed to give them the skills necessary to use the components of Windows.

 

 

Evaluation

 

 

Students will be evaluated on attendance, practice assignments and completion of in-class assignments.
