Course
Description:
Use
Microsoft FrontPage and Word to create an enhanced online version of your
yearlong thematic units, which students can use independently. Participants
should bring written materials they presently use for thematic units. May be taken for one, two or
three credits. An additional
project will be required to earn three credits.
Course
Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
· Design and create multiple web pages that support his/her yearlong theme.
· Design web based activities to be used in his/her classroom or independently by pupils.
· Upload and update web pages to a web server.

Methods and Procedures:
Direct instruction, examples, modeling, guided practice and independent practice will be used to reinforce skills presented.

Students will also need one 3-½ inch floppy disk
Evaluation/Outside
Project:
Students
will be evaluated on participation and completion of the in-class practice
assignments. Additionally all students
must complete an outside project as described on page 7 of the
Student
Handbook/Catalog:
Participants should refer to the Ottawa University Student Handbook for all University Regulations.
