Course Description:
Find out how schools are using the internet as an
educational tool; learn techniques used to expand use; explore strategies for
in and out of the classroom use; learn about the availability of important
educational resources; define the future potential in relation to education .
No Prerequisite, though basic Internet experience is recommended. May taken for one, two or three credits. An additional project
will be required to earn three credits.
Class Objectives:
Upon completion of the course, participants will use the
internet as an educational tool, learn techniques used to expand use; learn
about the availability of educational resources and define the future potential
in relation to education.

Procedures:
Direct instruction, examples, modeling, guided practice and
independent practice will be used to reinforce skills presented.

Evaluation/Outside
Project:
Students will be evaluated on participation and completion
of the in-class practice assignments. Twelve hours of additional outside
practice is required for two credits. To earn three credits all students
must complete an outside project. The student with the approval of the
Instructor will select the content of the project. It should include 12 hours
of combined practice and project, and must be submitted by disk or e-mail
within 1 week of completion of course. A rubric for evaluation of the project
will be provided to the participants during class.
