Using the Sony Mavica MVC-FD71 Digital Camera

Using Digital pictures taken with the Sony Mavica camera.

1. Insert floppy disk from camera into 3 ½ Floppy (A:) drive of a PC.

• It is possible to view and use your pictures on a Mac but much more complicated. These directions are for a PC.

2. Open a blank document in Word, the word processing program on all of our school PC’s.

3. Click Insert at the top of the screen and pull down to Picture and then to From File.

4. Select 3 ½ Floppy (A:) at top then select the picture file you want (MVC-243s.jpg  in this example)  and click Insert at the bottom of this window.

5. Once your picture is inserted into your document click once on the center of the picture and this window will pop up:

You can use this tool window to adjust contrast, brightness, crop etc…

When printing quality photos be sure to change settings under Properties in the print window to get the best results.

This looks different depending on your printer.
